Stress…..The Quiet Killer
Don’t let stress overtake your life. I have experienced a lot of stress in my life over time, and it has never done me a bit of good. I have had bleeding gums, panic attacks, depression and bouts of extreme weight gain or extreme weight loss, all as a result of stress.
I have had to learn how to deal with the everyday stresses in life. There are a few simple changes I made that helped me to cope better.
01. When I feel stress coming on, I stop and breath 3 to 5 deep breaths.
02. I remind myself that whatever is going on at that moment, freaking out is in no way going to make it easier. (This just helps to prevent causing any additional unneeded stress).
03. If I can sneak away for 5 to 10 minutes, I meditate. I sit quietly, close my eyes and try to clear my mind of all thoughts. If I can’t clear my mind, I might repeat a word or two over and over, very slowly in my head, focusing on the words instead of my problem.
04. Instead of running from whatever is causing the stress, I attack it head on. The longer I put off the cause of the stress, the longer I will experience the stress.
I hope these few tips are helpful to you. Now chill.
